A foreign policy used by Napoleon against Britain and Ireland during the Napoleonic wars. It was a large scale trade embargo against British ports, it ended after 1814.
Importance[]
Important because it was part of Napoleons strategy to destroy Britain economically, not with a battle, and cause big debt and inflation. He used this by manipulating Macons Bill No.2. It was pretty much a failure.
