Exact DefinitionEdit

Acts of the parliament which ensured British soldiers had adequate housing and provisions when they were stationed in the colonies. Became a source of tension between the colonists and the British government.


Important because it greatly increased tension between Boston Whigs and Parliament and created a general feeling of mutiny. (This was one of the Intolerable Acts.)
