Founding Father of US industry

Exact DefinitionEdit

An American industrialist known as 'the father of US industry' because he brought British textile technology to the US. He violated the British emigration law to come to America (one stating British machinists can't leave Britain). By the end of his life he had 13 of his own mills.

Important because he was, well, the Father of American Industry. He helped America create mills and factories.
